On Friday, President Uhuru Kenyatta officially opened the new pre-fabricated Terminal 2 at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
The new terminal brings in an extra 2.5 million capacity at East and Central Africa’s busiest airport. While making his address, Uhuru lashed out at officials involved in a corruption scandal that has seen the airport lease 5 buses at a cost of Sh11 million per month, or just over Sh2 million each per month. He directed that those responsible be prosecuted.
